Radio Station Song Requests

The best (or worst depending on how you view it) of me requesting songs on the radio These are actual requests that made it onto the air, believe it or not. This guy I know has been a DJ on oldies and country stations, so that’s where most of these have been aired. I apolgize for all the puns.

I’ll be adding to this from time to time as I remember them or as I am aired in the future.

Me: Can you play that song that Paul Simon did as a tribute to Eskimos? DJ: What’s that? Me: “Fifty Ways to Eat Your Blubber.” The actual song is “Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover.”

Me: Do you know what song I’m reminded of every time I see Sarah Palin? DJ: What’s that? Me: “Alaska Noon Delight.” The actual song is “Afternoon Delight” by Starland Vocal Band.

Me: Can you play that one song about the guy squirrel who got kicked out by his wife? DJ: What’s that? Me: “I’ve Got a Brand New Squirrel Den.” The actual song is “I’ve Got a Brand New Girlfriend” by Steve Holy.
